Gideon Hajioff
Founding Member and Chief Instructor - Gideon founded Dynamic Self Defence in 2001, but was developing the techniques whist running unaffiliated schools for 15 years prior. A black belt in taekwondo, krav maga and kick boxing, Gideon is also a qualified acupuncturist, craniosacral therapist and personal trainer. He can be found teaching at the Hendon, Stanmore and Ealing branches and in his spare time he is a family man or on his motor bike on the open road.
Richard moss - Hendon
Emily Brown - Hendon
Instructor - Emily began training when Hendon DSD first opened over 10 years ago; her journey from white belt to instructor has been an empowering personal experience. Currently studying at Henrietta Barnett, she hopes to read Philosophy and Classics at Glasgow University – but will certainly be back in London to teach and train in the holidays. Emily is an avid guitar player, an aspiring artist, loves climbing trees, writing amateur novels and listening to music.
Nathan weinstein - hendon & stanmore
Instructor - Nathan hopes to study law at university and ultimately would like to become a mediator. Having worked with children for many years, in weekly youth groups and as a volunteer on summer camps, Nathan was a natural DSD future instructor. He started training in 2002 and is proud to have earned the rank of black belt and instructor in less than ten years. Nathan loves music too - composing, listening, watching, and dancing to it – he also plays guitar and piano.
Robert Doig - ealing
Matthew hagger - chigwell
Chief Instructor - Matthew Started training in Choi Kwang-Do and has dabbled with Shotokan Karate, Impact Karate and Korean Tae Kwon-Do. He gained his 4th Dan in Choi Kwang-Do 2005. In 2000 Matthew became one of the original DSD chief instructors heading up the teaching at the Chigwell DSD School. Married with 3 children, during the day Matthew owns, manages and runs three independent schools in the Epping Forest area, with 750 children from 2 to 16, employing around 250 members of staff.
David doe - chigwell
Chief Instructor - David started training in Choi Kwang-Do in 1991 and is currently preparing for his 4th Dan. Having trained under Matthew Hagger during this time, he has attended the Chigwell DSD School working his way up to an assistant instructor and recently qualifying as a chief instructor. By day, David works in the city for Shell UK as a personnel manager.
